Chapter 13. Liability for Delay in Final Payment
After a pause, I got out of the car, went to the other side and opened the door of the car, and tugged at Jordan's sleeve. "Jordan!"
I'm afraid he felt sick in his stomach after drinking too much, and he couldn't fall asleep.
He opened his eyes slightly and looked at me. After the speed, the black eyes swept around and said in a shallow voice, "Did you bring me back?"
I nodded, wondering whether he was sober or drunk, and said, "Come on down, it's getting late!"
It's almost the wee hours of the morning, and a pregnant woman like me really doesn't have enough energy to stay with him.
He sat up straight. His slender body leaning on the seat. He did not seem to come and he's not speaking. A pair of black eyes are open, looking around at people and animals, but knowing his temper, it's cloudy and sunny.
After thinking about it, he said, "Do you want me to help you down?"
"I can bask in the sun!" He spoke and sat still in the car.
