Chapter 54

When we got to the cottage, it was almost midnight and I had to use my phone's flashlight to insert the key into the keyhole. The door opened when I pushed and I immediately turned on the light as soon as I entered.

"Go to sleep," Jake told me.

"Can you tell me where you're going?" I asked and when he didn't answer, I asked more. "Are you tired of driving?"

"Yes just pick me up," he said.

"All right."

True to his words, Jake joined me a few minutes later. I waited for him as before and I believe that he loves it. However, I asked that we talk first before going to bed.

"Goodnight baby," he said kissing my forehead.

I assumed he was just tired so I didn't force him to talk to me. "Goodnight," I answered, and of course, I kissed him too.
