Chapter 82
Like A Dream
Zeke's POV. (End)
The sun was already hot, burning my skin as I hauled bunches of sugarcane. I'm still mad at dad. He's always with Manuel. Always Manuel!
With all my might, I dropped the pipes on top of the truck and looked up while enjoying the sun's heat on my body. I can feel the flow of my sweat.
"Fuck life!"
"Sir! Let's eat!" invited one of the workers.
I shook my head. "I'll follow!" I hauled it again and put it in the truck. Almost full.
I ignored my sweats. How I wish someone would wipe my sweat.
I saw a young woman hiding and carrying a camera. My forehead furrowed. He is not far from me. I want to scold her. She has no right to steal my photo!
This is the girl I always paint. She's familiar. I think I saw her somewhere.
When I saw that he was comforting, I quietly approached and grabbed the camera from his hand.
"When will you stop?" I don't want her to be afraid of me, but I'm irritated.
