Chapter 57. A Murderer
Hot sobs choked Nate’s throat as he struggled against Johnson’s stronghold. The man was a lot stronger than he looked.
He felt his arms grow weak, he was still trying to hold on to the door frame to escape and his fingers were getting weak and bloodied because he was holding on so tight.
“Fight!” Tshepo’s words came back to him.
So this is what he meant when he said that? Nate thought. His heart broke for his friend. He had been gone for months and this was what he had to go through? How many times? He wondered.
Suddenly, the adrenaline coursing through him made him unhook his fingers from the door and reach back to fight Johnson. Johnson’s loose body rippled as he held on to Nate with all his strength.
“Stupid boy stay still! I paid a lot for you.”
Nate growled and fought like a wild cat. He would not go down easily. Suddenly he lost his footing and Johnson caught hold of his feet and dragged him back into the room.
