Chapter 50
Jose woke up from his sleep in the morning, feeling light like a baby. Every fiber of his being felt light, from his hair to his toe. He got up from the bed and stretched lightly. This was the first time he had had a peaceful night's sleep in over three months since the incident. He walked over to where the pictures of his sons rested on the wall and sighed. Jose stood there for over ten minutes doing nothing other than staring at them. He missed them both. He missed seeing them around the house, going around, and having arguments.
He fingered the picture of Peterson and tears flowed from his eyes freely. He missed Peterson the most. Ever since he had been with Jose, he had been of tremendous help to his father.
