Chapter 62

“Hi, Mr. Elio. How are you doing now?” Doctor Jett said when he entered Elio’s hospital room. He was not alone. He came in with a nurse who was holding a notepad.

“Hi. Fine, thanks.” Elio replied without even looking at the doctor’s face or even acknowledging his presence. His thoughts were still occupied with how everything seemed to have turned upside down in his family in just a matter of days. He wondered if things would have turned out differently if he had taken the family business even more seriously. He pushed his thoughts asides so that he could put on a perfect act before the doctor concerning the memory loss diagnosis.

“Good to see that you are doing better.” Doctor Jett said, before collecting the notepad from the nurse and signaling for her to go and attend to other things.

“I will handle it. you can go and attend to other patients.” The doctor said to the nurse. He turned back to Elio, ready to start the ph
