Chapter 21

May looked straight at the driver and nearly felt sorry for him, but she was never going back there, no matter what happened she was not going there.

She heard their tire explode but she maintained her driving speed, this was the wrong time to be a caring neighbor. She continued driving until she saw she was to turn into a tunnel and she did just that. There was a buzz in the car when they got to the end of the tunnel.

“Stay put.” Hugo said and the car suddenly began sinking. May swallowed thickly, not exactly comfortable with trusting someone this blindly and she did even know anything about him but his name. Soon they stopped and they all came out of the car. Blessing rushed to the back and pulled Lexa into a hug. May simply sank to her haunches as she breathed deeply. She still could not believe that they just had such an experience.
