Chapter 76
Paloma and Philip rushed to the district hospital where Lilian was taken, and while on the way, they were anxious and uneasy.
“Let me drive the car for you,” Philip offered as he noticed that her hands were shaking and she was nervous behind the wheel.
“No, I can manage. Anyway, the hospital is just nearby.” Paloma refused his offer and glared at the man for inadvertently causing a misunderstanding about Lilian and Alexander’s parentage. “If you were not stupid to just sit there and corrected me, things like these would never happen.” Paloma started to blame Philip for Lilian’s attempted suicide.
Philip was exasperated as he listened to the woman’s outburst. “How could you put the blame on me when I didn’t do anything wrong? It was you and your damn assumptions!”Philip fought back and scowled at Paloma for singlehandedly blaming him for everything.
