I stared at Rose trying to make sense of what had just happened.

No one had told me she had powers like that. She was supposed to be just another weakling—another easy target to hurt Kanen. But now…now things are different.

She had power. Power I hadn’t expected.

I clenched my fists, trying to control my anger. “You think you can stop me?” I hissed, stepping toward her. “You’re just a girl. I don’t care what tricks you have up your sleeve.”
