Chapter 51. Ugly
I fell asleep again and the moment I woke up, the pain wasn’t as bad, but it still hurt to move and even breathe. Because the pain medication was still bearable, I reasoned that it must have some impact.
I was now having trouble walking on my own; after all, my legs had suffered a significant amount of damage. My muscles were knocked around and trained. I wouldn’t be surprised if my bones were also bruised.
I heaved a sigh as I made my way towards the bathroom. I stripped the hospital gown off me and flung it on the ground before looking up, and my breath caught in my throat at the sight in front of me.
I had inadvertently stopped in front of the mirror, and I stumbled. Luckily, I was able to catch myself on the sink, but I did fall and knock myself out a few times.
