Silas’s POV

All he does only inspires my anger further, and I turn fully to him.

“You mean you haven’t found anything yet? A clue? A piece of hair? Any fucking tracks that at least point to some direction?” My voice comes out in yells that thunder in the room we stand in.

“No, Silas. We didn’t find anything. The rogue tracks we found earlier are gone.”

“How is that possible that she disappears the night that the guards were supposed to be watching? The night that you and Lucas were supposed to be doing your job?”

“We were doing our job.”

“Bullshit, you weren’t doing anything. If you were, rogues couldn’t just walk in and take a dump in here, and walk out undetected.”

“There was no activity at the border just outside school premises.”

“And yet, Freya is god-knows-where!” I yell, enraged by his audacity to claim anything right now.
