Chapter 122. Epilogue
Lilly’s POV
The nursery window was open, letting in the soft morning breeze. Sunlight dappled the floor, playing across the cribs lined up side by side. I stood in the middle of the room, rocking our daughter gently in my arms while the boys dozed in their cribs, their tiny chests rising and falling in peaceful rhythm.
Lex leaned against the doorframe, a tired but contented smile on his lips. Dark circles lingered beneath his eyes from countless sleepless nights, but he wore them proudly. He’d hardly left our side since the pups were born, and I often caught him gazing at us with awe, as if he still couldn’t believe we were real. I loved him even more for it.
“We survived,” he whispered, crossing the room to wrap his arms around me. “All of us.”
I smiled, resting my head on his shoulder. “We did. And now we get to raise a family—together.”
