Summer POV
One Week Later
“Are you sure about this colour, Ezra?”
“What’s wrong with red?”
“Nothing, but red everywhere?”
He wanted red booths, red lights for nights and red wallpaper. It’s too much. I had to fight him on the uniforms and draw the line at red wallpaper.
“Okay, fine, maybe we can dial it back.”
“Aside from your little obsession the bar’s going to be great,” I said, slipping under his arm.
“Wait, do I still have a job?” I asked.
Ezra snickered. “A few customers complained Summer,” he teased. “I’m afraid I can’t keep you.”
“I wouldn’t want to work with your sleazy clientele anyway.”
His hand travelled down my back and cupped my ass. “I don’t want my respectable clientele staring at your fine ass either.”
He kissed my cheek and gave my ass another squeeze.
The bar had been stripped of its old exterior. There was paint on the floor, paper on the counter, and all the booze had been taken
