Chapter 100. Is Now the Best Time?
After entering the labor camp, everyone saw that Emerald was right. Since the guards were down, the attack still had a massive influence on the field. The ergates just pushed them to the open space in the center of the camp; there were no food or heating installations. Once pushed into the area, they waited in silence.
Emerald didn’t know what they were waiting for. She looked around to observe the terrain around the camp. There were at least 500 people in this space, surrounded by many two-story buildings. About ten ergates were guarding the second floor with machine guns in their hands, frightening the 500 prisoners.
It was said that the Zerg lived in the north in black houses with round roofs. There were many of those visible from a distance, but Emerald was unsure if she saw planes or homes.
Emerald’s men moved slowly in the crowd so as not to attract any unwanted attention. Emerald knew it was hazardous to fight with the ergates on the second-floor one-on-one,
