When Patrick returned, she was still sitting on the bed and looking at the ceiling with wet eyes. He had prepared to tell her about Zach’s death originally, but now he had changed his mind.
He stripped off the coat and asked, “Why are you crying?”
“For those who died.” She answered, “And Henry.”
“Henry?” Patrick walked to her and asked in a low voice, “Why for him?”
“I think he hides the sadness deep in his heart.” But she said, “Maybe I’m thinking too much.”
Patrick touched her face and kissed it, “His father killed his mother and became mad, and his only sister committed suicide.
