Calista’s POV
“Now it’s all good,” I grumbled quietly to myself as Zane pulled his shirt back on, covering his defined abs. Finally feeling more at ease, I became self-conscious under his intense gaze.
His hands pressed against the sheet on the small bed. “Thanks, Calista,” he whispered in his deep, low voice. “I just can’t let them know about this. It would spoil the fun,” he added, a hint of mischief in his tone. I couldn’t help but smile and shake my head as I stood up from the chair across from him.
“That’s not right,” I sighed, feeling a mix of concern and understanding. “You can’t keep doing this for someone else, you know,” I added, offering him an empathetic smile. He mirrored my expression, acknowledging my words.
