Calista’s POV

Smiling, I put my phone back in my pocket and was surprised to see Draven standing outside my apartment. His hands were in his pockets, and his eyes were fixed on me.

“Draven…” I murmured as I walked towards him. “What are you doing here?”

“To congratulate you on passing the exams,” he chuckled.

I gulped, wrapping my arms around myself. “I’ll send you a thank-you message nonstop,” I smiled.

“That’s not a problem.”

“Is that all you’re here for?”

“I wanted to see you too,” he stated coldly.

Suddenly, my phone buzzed. I checked it, expecting a message from Lysandra, but it was from Cedric.

Cedric: Can I see you tonight?

His message made me look at Draven, and I realized I could never hurt any of them. I couldn’t commit fully, and this was how it was meant to be.
