Chapter 69. You Must Be Tired Now
That guy looked up, trying to get Linford. But Cody pulled the trigger before he could. Linford rolled aside in a fluid motion, shielding himself behind a wall.
The enemy went furious. He was sure Linford didn’t have any bullets left. So he went to chase after Linford, firing his gun all the time.
However, a bullet suddenly hit him from behind. He turned around and saw Cody. The boy was still holding his gun, aiming at him with one eye squeezed shut.
“Good job,” Linford jumped off from a wall and pulled Cody in his arms.
“I know,” Cody smiled smugly.
He suddenly remembered something as he said to Linford, “That man we just struck out looks quite familiar.”
“Really?” Linford asked, “Who is he?”
Cody narrowed his eyes as he tried to recall that man’s face, “I don’t know... But he looks so familiar.”
Linford smiled as he cast a glance at the corner, “You don’t need to worry about him. He’s a loser anyway.”
