Ramon POV
Samuel opened his mouth, probably to say something else infuriating and cruel.
I pulled the trigger.
Samuel’s scream echoed through the cabin as he crumpled, clutching his shattered knee. “YOU FUCKING SHOT ME!”
“That was your knee,” I said calmly, though inside I was screaming with rage and fear. “You’ve got another one. And then I’ll start on other body parts. Now, where is Ollie?”
“I don’t know!” Samuel sobbed, his face twisted in pain. “Frank drove somewhere, came back without the kid. I don’t know where. I didn’t ask!”
“Ramon,” Rafael said urgently. “The police are on their way. They’ll have search and rescue teams, proper equipment. We need to let them—”
“We don’t have time for that,” I interrupted. “Ollie called me from somewhere nearby. He’s out there right now. Every second we waste, his chances of survival go down.”
