Ramon POV

“Complicated?” Her laugh was sharp. “You’ve been photographed claiming an omega in public, Ramon. There’s a child involved who’s clearly bonded to both of you. How exactly is this complicated?”

I rubbed my temples, feeling a headache building. “The situation is still... developing.”

“Well, it needs to develop quickly. I want to meet them. Bring them to dinner this weekend—I’ll have the staff prepare something suitable for a child.”

“I don’t think that’s—”

“This weekend, Ramon. If you’ve chosen a mate, the family needs to meet him properly. And I need to understand what this means for our agreements with other families.”

She ended the call before I could protest further, leaving me staring at the phone with growing dread.

“Trouble brewing?” Marcus asked, clearly having heard enough of the conversation to understand the implications.

“Possibly.” I handed him back the phone, suddenly feeling exhausted. “I’ll need you to h
