Rhodes POV
I sat in my car outside my house, gripping the steering wheel and trying to figure out what the hell I was supposed to do.
Ramon was leaving. In four days, my brother would be on a plane to Barcelona with no clear return date. Running away from his family, from his responsibilities, from the one person who needed him most.
And he’d asked us not to stop him.
“This is insane,” Romeo said from the passenger seat. He’d insisted on coming home with me, too agitated to go back to his own place. “Rhodes, we can’t let him do this. We have to tell Lake. Have to do something.”
“Tell Lake what?” I asked tiredly. “That Ramon’s abandoning them? That he’s so convinced he’s a monster that he’s fleeing to another continent? How does that help Lake right now?”
“It gives him the choice to stop Ramon,” Romeo argued. “Maybe if Lake asked him to stay, if Ollie asked—”
“No,” I said firmly. “We’re not using Lake and Ollie as emotional leverage. R
