Chapter 100. The Stream

Gina’s POV

As I jolted awake, I expected to find Devyn awake and prepared to leave. Surprisingly, his arms locked around me in a tight embrace, signaling otherwise. I turned around so I could face him, and my movement seemed to wake him as he gazed down at me with half-opened eyes.

“I thought you weren’t sleeping and watching out for us,” I teased as I rubbed his chiseled chin.

He responded with a yawn, “I can’t let go of you,” he planted a kiss on my forehead and my heart fluttered, “You’re my melatonin. You make me feel sleepy.”

“That’s because you feel safe with me.”

A smile graced his handsome face, “I do.”

As his arms released me, I pouted my lips, missing his touch and warmth already. Watching him wear his pants, I admired his sexy muscular body.
