Chapter 417. What’s a Witch

Kai POV

Kaden convinced me to pull my nose away from my phone after Tish’s location showed that she was at the bar. Normally, Kaden and I would be doing pack work but since we can’t seem to focus on anything but Tish, we are taking the day off.

Macy is sitting on the floor whispering with Nyx, while I flip through the channels. She is brushing her doll’s hair and having an argument. I try to tune out Macy’s conversation with Nyx but her voice is getting a little louder.

“What’s a witch?” Macy finally asks.

I am not sure if she is talking to Nyx or to me, so I don’t answer right away. She gets to her feet and smooths her hands down her dress and stands right I front of me. “What is a witch?”

“Why do you want to know what witch is?” Kaden asks her.

“Nyx said that is where Mommy is going,” Macy replies.

Kaden and I share a look. Neither one of us is sure how to answer that question.
