Chapter 470. Have You Already Forgotten?

Macy POV

Nyx holds up a grossly high pair of black heels. I wrinkle my nose at the sight of them. My feet are already killing me because Cassian twirled me around the ballroom all day. I would never admit it to anyone out loud, but it was kind of fun. He managed to let go and be fun. He wasn’t the stuffy Cassian I have gotten to know.

“You have to wear shoes,” Nyx grumbles. “You…”

“I know, I know,” I interrupt her. “I am a Princess, and I have to act as such. What happened to you? You were much more fun in the Human Realm.”

“Was I?” She asks.

“Have you already forgotten?”

“There isn’t as much holding me to the Human Realm as you,” she tells me, but I can tell by the look in her eyes that it isn’t the whole truth.

“What about all of the mates you had? What about all of your children?” I ask her.

Nyx swallows hard. “Those are things that I would rather never remember. We don’t have time for this. Put on your shoes.”
