Chapter 560. Wings

Destin POV

I stand beside the portal, looking for any excuse not to walk through it. I just got Wren back. Leaving her again was not in the cards. It was not part of the plan. Fucking Selene has meddled in my life for the last time.

My wings twitch nervously against my back, and I suck in a sharp breath. Before I can step through the portal, a red wolf barrels into me, knocking me onto the ground.

I groan uncomfortably as I untangle myself from the wolf. The wolf cocks it’s head to the side, and his tongue flops from the side of his muzzle. “Rolfe?”

Charlie shifts back, breathing heavily, sprawled out on the grass. “It was a trap.”
