Chapter 129. The Wrong Room

The city is alive with excitement as I walk along the busy roads. It's late evening, the night before the wedding of Astrid to Gaius. My reflection shows nothing of my true self; all I can see is a plain older man. I'm lost deep in this body, and I seek expression by every means possible.
"Hey, old man, get off the road!" I hear some young lad call out to me
I glance at him and quickly hold my hands into a tight fist, but I get betrayed by the body I am in. I realize I can't even close my fingers properly. The anger was deep within but the body I possess was just a weak one, down to the muscles and the bones.
I walk away from the young lad; if only I could access my real body, he wouldn't speak to me in such a manner. He won't dare to look at me with such scorn.
It takes me another couple of minutes to get to the venue of the wedding; I hold on to my staff, and it guides me while I walk as much as the strange body lets me.
