The atmosphere was still tense. Desperation was exhumed from Magnus, who couldn't bear to be in a stranger's body anymore. All pranks and threats to make Gaius reason alone went to the trash. Magnus had no other weapon to use on Gaius than to resort to an argument that kept the air steaming hot.
"What do you think you'll gain from this malicious act of yours?" Magnus's eyes narrowed; his weakness gave a conspicuous signal through his voice.
He wouldn't want to be caught by Gaius, who seemed to be boasting to his fill already. He stiffened his muscles, slowly straightened his fingers to rid spasm, and tried to wear a bolder front, hiding his fear behind his tightened face. "Give me back my body already, Gaius," his voice uttered with sternness.
