Chapter 299. Second in Command

I didn’t need it. I glanced over to the second in command who was literally standing beside him. He had worked for Felix much longer and he was a good help. It was crazy how quickly Felix had replaced him because he hadn’t found Lovette. One day if I had failed to execute a mission too I would probably be replaced and even quicker than this. I nodded and smiled.

“Thank you sir.”

Felix looked at me funny. “You don’t seem too happy about it. You want some money too right? I will give you money. Once we get out of this cave I will do right by you okay?”8

“I do not care for money sir of any of these things. All I want is to care for my sister. As long as she is safe then I am content.”

“Hmmmmm……..that is nice of you.” He chuckled. “Trust me your sister is very safe and protected. I am personally making sure of that.”

I was disgusted. He knew what he was talking of. How could he betray me in this way? I had gotten him the woman he wanted. He had her now.
