George’s POV.

When I received news that mother had finally regained consciousness I couldn’t contain my joy. I wanted nothing more than to see her immediately. I was on my way for an important conference at the western side of the city when one of the guards mindlinked me. As soon as I heard she was awake I asked the chauffeur to take me back home immediately, I couldn’t wait to see her.

When we got home I opened the car door and began to make my way hastily into the mansion and upstairs to her room. There was a small crowd of maids at the entrance and they all had this look of happiness on them. I walked into the room and saw Olivia holding my mother by her hands while my mother took careful steps around the room.

I was overwhelmed with joy.

“Mother……….” I called. I walked over to her and took her in my arms in a warm embrace. We stayed like that for a while, both unable to let go of the other as though by letting go we might not be able to hold ourselves so
