Chapter 33. A Past Trauma

Daphne’s POV.

I was soon summoned to come see Sheila. It took a few hours before George sent for me and it was only when I was on my way to the patio to see him with Clara that I realized it had been a while since I last saw him.

Or was it that I was just missing him………..

When we arrived the patio my eyes went to the figure seated at the only single chair in the room. There were guards in the room and George was seated in a wing chair directly facing Sheila. Sheila was………a shadow of herself. She was usually a brilliant vibrant looking girl and always smart looking but I could tell from the way she looked that she hadn’t had any of the luxuries she used to enjoy back at home for a while.

“Sheila…………” I went to pull her into my arms. She met me halfway and we both held each other for a while. I had missed her terribly and even though I feared to find out the reason why she had come here, I was still very happy to see her again after such a long time.
