Chapter 65. The Day of the Trial

Daphne’s POV.

It was the day of the trial.. I was awake all through the night, unable to sleep, unable to stop thinking. I was traumatized. Being here again made me recollect what had happened to me. I remembered everything about the pack. Even this very room where I was. Aunt Agatha’s friend used to stay here. I didn’t want to be here but I had no choice.

I was also scared that Fergus would come into my room soon, or send for me soon. I just couldn’t stop thinking.

When the sun started to rise I got up and started to get ready. I wanted to be done with the trial and out of here today. I didn’t even unpack anything. My suitcases were still intact. I couldn’t wait to go back to green moss. It was now my home and safe place. Being with George was all I wanted to do.

After I had showered I sat on the bed and waited for Harris to come and get me.

Soon I heard a knock on the door and he and Sheila entered into the room.

“You’re up already?”

I nod
