Chapter 20. Caesar’s Palace!

Damien’s POV

Staring at the text message I had written out and was considering sending, I decided I sounded desperate. Red was an angel; that, I was certain of it. I could sense her purity and divine power, even if it was mingled with an otherworldly malice that I didn’t even know existed. With a throaty groan, I threw my phone on the bed, just like I had the last four times I had wanted to text Abigail.

Walking towards the window, my shoulders stiff with tension and annoyance. I looked out over the town but, more importantly, over the apartment block Red had just moved into. I knew it was a little stalker-ish, but I didn’t like this part of town, and I liked it less now that the wolves seemed to be circling. I couldn’t guarantee she was safe!
