Chapter 27. Hidden Desires
Abigail’s POV
We walked through the town for the rest of the afternoon; Jason, true to his word, had taken us to the best pet shop in town. While Lizzy and I looked for the perfect tank, I found myself glancing back at Jason, who was on the phone, clearly to someone important. My stomach dropped at the thought of him having to leave. Today had been such a fun day, and I had enjoyed getting to know him and his wolf, even if it was a little more intimately than I had planned.
Although I watched Lizzy carefully, I could not pull my eyes away from Jason; his eyes caught mine, our green jewels locked on each other’s, neither of us breaking contact; I smiled, knowing that the dark glimmer behind his eyes meant Archer was watching me too.
