Bella POV

I sat on the bed turning over my father’s words — so he wanted Osborne taken out all along? I just cannot fathom it. But just then a maid interrupted my thoughts. “My mistress, the person you asked for is here,” she announced.

“Bring her in,” I told her.

The maid led a young girl inside. If anyone was going to die, it would be Aina — not Osborne. I looked the girl over. “I’ll need you to go to Silver Crest pack. Did you hear your sister was hospitalized?” I asked. She bowed. “Yes, ma’am. I was told she had an accident.”

I kept my face calm. “Good. Visit her and call me when you get there. There’s something I want her to do for me.” The girl lifted her head and nodded.
