DECLAN'S POV

The agony was undeniable. Why had the Moon Goddess forsaken me?

I stood there getting punched in the face repeatedly, as Danika and Ushi were entangled in each other's arms. 

It should have been me. I had been yearning for my mate for years, merely to discover she died as a newborn. You would have thought the Moon Goddess was finished with trampling my heart, but no, she had more plans for me when I later found out that my dead mate was a twin to my Luna, whom I can't stop thinking about sexually. 

I deserved to go to hell for all the naughty, disturbing visions I was having of Hazel - fuck I would embrace death by Alpha's claws. Wouldn't that be poetic?

How long dear Moon Goddess must I suffer like this - how long?

I concluded that after I accompany Alpha and Luna to the Fae world, I would leave the Pack. It was unmistakable the Moon Goddess is torturing me.
