Chapter 21. Preparations

ALPHA'S POV

Declan returned from his visit to Isis. He told me that she mentioned having a few important tasks to complete before she could visit me. I was disappointed, but I nodded in understanding. I expected her to arrive in the next couple of days.

Another issue troubled me regarding the incident in the dungeons.

"Declan, what took you so long to get to us in the dungeons?” I asked. 

"Alpha, the warriors and I came after Talon mind-linked me for help. But when we drew close to the cell you were in, everything went dark. We couldn't see or hear a thing,” he explained.
