Chapter 21
“You bit me. You didn’t mark me.” I inform him, looking over at my clock. We have 2 hours now before the ceremony.
“You didn’t feel those tingles when you helped me to the bed?” he asks, looking confused.
“I did. Your bite is close enough to cause some residual effects.” I say, though, if I’m being honest, I’m uncertain that is true, but I’m also not willing to discuss other options with him.
“That’s a thing?” he asks, unsure.
“Of course” I lie.
“My wolf completely lost control,” he says, looking broken and sick.
“I know.”
“She came onto me and I couldn’t fight the headache anymore.” he continues to explain.
“Alpha. I am about to become your confidant, your battle buddy. Not your girlfriend or your mother, who needs an explanation for your actions. I don’t have to like them, but as long as they don’t cause you harm, I won’t interfere.”
The only way I can explain my frustration is through this blasted bite mark. I am disappointed
