“You don’t, not until we have eaten and regained our strength.” Trixy demanded.
I felt for her. Though I was weak, I knew she was getting the runt of it after all the healing and the running, Trixy had been with me in the front since the first hour of the ceremony and she deserved to rest.
“Time to head home, puppet. Are you ready for your new life?” The shadow of a smirk still played on Darians lips but, at the same time, he seemed dead serious when he spoke.
It’s like he’s toying with me, with his words and the way he spoke and smiled—if this was him here amongst other people, how would he behave once we were alone behind closed doors in his pack?
“Yes,” I said and started walking as I looked at Illiana and Emanuel.
They were watching me, both of them jumped when I was pulled back and slammed into the couch.
His fingers circled my arm painfully and I saw the blue patch starting to form, a bruise…already. It was because we were weaken
