Chapter 64
HAZEL
He grabbed my hand and pulled me away from the crowd and down a hallway behind the dance floor where the music didn’t quite reach and the base was stopped by a thick wall.
Once Zade stopped I was quick to pull my hand back and I held it close to my side.
A lock of my hair had fallen from the ponytail and was stuck against my cheek. Zade reached out his hand to remove it and I jerked my head away out of his reach.
“Don’t touch me,” I said and saw how his face fell.
If Zade’s scent was stuck on my skin when I got back to the palace, I knew for a fact that Darian would chase him to the end of the world just for the pleasure of killing him. Not to mention what he’d do to me.
“You’re afraid,” he stated as a matter of fact.
I was too quick to forget about the mind-reading thing, I needed to control my thoughts. He can’t know about Darian.
“I already do.”
“Would you stop that!” I seethed.
Zade stepped closer and reached out
