Still Mercedes' POV 

When Zane notices that I am adamant, he resigns to my mission. But I did have to promise to call him twice a day to tell him what progress I was making with my plans. He also promised not to tell Jace about this. If his Beta knows where Saphira is, he might rush in here on his own and things could not end well. I've asked Zane for up to five days to try and persuade her to at least talk to Jace about her doubts. Fortunately, my mate was indulgent and agreed. Although something tells me he's not entirely at ease with me traveling this far without him. I'm expecting him to show up anytime, Zane never takes risks when it comes to me.
