Chapter 5

Once out, he stands beside his car, staring into the surrounding streets looking for any sign of a redhead. Whenever he spots one, his heart skips a beat as excitement rushes over him.

But he is disappointed, when he reaches the redhead he finds, he is looking at a different person entirely. Refusing to give up, he seats on top of his car's booth and waits.

She has to return home at some point, he tells himself.

Not long after he thinks of this, a commotion breaks out in the distance. A police officer is running, probably after someone but he doesn't see the person.

His heart tugs and he feels drawn to the matter, he reluctantly raises his head from his phone again and that's when he sees her, she is running away from the police officer!

A pang of anger shoots through him as he watches his mate belittle herself into committing petty crimes in the states. She probably stole again! The way she is running, that has to be the case.
