Chapter 66

Brenda was having tea when Amareux stepped out of his room into the dining room. Owen and Neil were still asleep. June had gone to sleep with her mother who had thanked Amareux profusely for letting her sons sleep in with him. It had been so awkward last night, with tipsy June's mother touching his face and thanking him. He wanted to be away from her touch.

Last night, he had slept really late and that was because the boys wanted to hear stories before they slept. Amareux had made a mistake by telling them a historical story that related to the old Lycan. The boys weren't sleepy anymore and they stayed awake till the end of the story. Owen slept off at the latter end and Neil made sure Amareux finished the story before he was able to sleep. When Amareux was done sleeping, he lay down beside them both and as soon as his head his the pillow, he slept off.
