Chapter 70

Amareux was not able to get enough food and that was because Yvette was not in the kitchen this morning.

He met one of the maids and asked for lunch. He was smart enough not to ask for too much like he usually did with Yvette. These maids were gossips and asking for extra food would raise suspicion which would lead to something he didn't have the power to control.

So, the maid packed a carton of milk and two large burgers for him. He hope Arayah would be filled. The burgers were large enough.

Amareux returned passed through the dining area and when he got there, he was surprised to see that the table was void of Nicolette and his father. Only his Aunt, Brenda was at the table and she was eating her dessert of apple pie slowly as she read through a book.

She twisted in her seat when she felt his presence in the dining room. "Hey, Amareux. Come sit for a few minutes."

Amareux closed his eyes, but still went ahead to take a seat opposite her
