Chapter 91

Arayah was awoken by the clank of a lock on the metal gates of her cell. She jolted up, fisting her fingers and ready to attack.

She relaxed and moved backwards when she saw who it was.

The old man who had asked that she be thrown into the prison.

She glared at him from underneath her lashes, her blue eyes darkening. The man smiled and walked into her cell. This one was more spacious than the one she had been put in last night. There was a narrow bed placed against the wall and that was where she lay as soon as she was thrown into this place.

"What do you want?" Arayah asked. She folded her arms and turned to glare at him. The old man smiled.

"I am here to help you." He replied.

Arayah narrowed her eyes at him. If he thought she was stupid, he thought wrong. "Help me? I don't remember asking for help. I only remember asking for food and I got that trash in return."
