Chapter 5
Writer POV
“Who the hell is she?” Lilian screamed angrily the moment she got outside. All her life, she has always pictured herself as Alpha Darrel woman and ruling over this pack.
Lilian paced around angrily, still trying to figure out who the girl was. “I have to do something to make him mine as soon as possible,” Lilian concluded after contemplating for a while.
“What are you doing here? Are you done with your duty?” Mrs Romero asked Lilian.
“Can you please leave me alone! Very soon, I will put you in your place, just wait and see.” Lilian threatened and walked away. Mrs. Romero was startled and unable to say anything to Lilian.
“What has come over her?” Mrs Romero asked herself, still recovering from what Lilian said.
Alpha Darrel was on his bed in deep thought, for the first time since Edna left the pack, Alpha Darrel remembered her. Inasmuch as he has nothing but hatred for her, he still feels bad for her and the way he rejected her.
“I wonder where she is right now.” Alpha Darrel and Edna had such a good childhood together that even Lilian used to be jealous of them, and now they’re strangers.
“Why am I even thinking of her right now?” Alpha Darrel asked himself, feeling stupid again, he was finding it hard to know why it was taking time for him so long to get over Edna. He thought it was luck for the moon goddess to mate them together, and now they don’t have a good relationship again.
He covered his face with his hand and sighed.
“She’s no longer here, it’s fine, I forgot she ever existed.” He muttered to himself and stood up from the bed to use the shower.
After his night shower, he decided to go to bed.
The next morning.
“What are you going to do about it? The chiefs are furious, and you know how they can be when they become like this.” Luna Becky said to Alpha Darrel as she paced the room.
“I am trying, I don’t know why they are still attacking that side of the pack.” Alpha Darrel explained, still feeling distressed.
He sat on the couch and placed his hand on his head.
“It’s okay, son, I don’t want you to stress yourself too much. We are going to sort this out.” Luna Becky said to Alpha Darrel, trying to comfort him and stop him from thinking too much about it.
“Where the hell is Albert?” Luna Becky asked. The moment she asked about him, Albert walked in. Luna Becky placed her hand on her head and walked out of the Alpha chamber.
“What were you able to find out?” Alpha Darrel asked Albert, looking worried. Albert sat down on the couch and sighed.
Alpha Darren pov
“We attack at night.” I felt relieved when I heard what Albert said to me. The rogues have been invading the pack for some days and stealing from house to house, which has caused little problem in the pack.
I heaved a sigh of relief after realizing that the whole thing is finally coming to an end.
It was already getting dark, and I couldn’t stop pacing around the room as I was thinking of how we’re going to go about our plan. The warriors were all prepared.
“Do you have to go, son? Take a look at the warriors, they are going to help you take good care of it.” My mom said to me, trying to stop me from going with the warriors.
“Alpha Darrel, you don’t have to go; we will take care of it,” Albert said to me, also trying to stop me from going.
“Okay, fine.” I decided to listen to them, and my mom was relieved to hear what I said. I walked out of the house and joined the warriors outside so that I could talk to them.
I talked to them so that they can know that they’re not alone, and the moment they succeed, they will always be remembered in the pack for their great contribution.
They all left, and I walked back into the house when they were out of sight.
“Calm down, Darrel. They are going to succeed.” My mom tried to calm me down and make me stop worrying.
“Mom, you can’t understand,” I told my mom and continued pacing around. It was getting very dark, and everyone was going to bed.
“I know they will come back victorious,” my mom said to me, pecking me on the forehead before going to bed.
“Alpha Darrel,” Lillian called and handed me a cup of coffee; her coffee is always irresistible.
“Thanks.” I collected the coffee and took a sip. She sat down in the sitting room with me whilst everyone had gone to bed.
“Don’t you trust the pack army? You don’t have to be so worried about them when you have such great men that are ready to give their lives for the pack.” Lilian’s words were so warm and just what I needed.
“I know they are good, but it’s not possible not to be worried,” I explained to her, and we both smiled.
We had several conversations, and being with Lilian made me feel really good. She just knows when to make me feel better.
“I thought about Edna today; she would have been here with us.” My smile slowly faded the moment I heard what Lilian said. Hearing her name makes me feel guilty. That’s why I don’t like hearing her name or hearing anything about her.
“She has been banished for doing something wrong; she deserved it, and I don’t want to hear anything about her.” I didn’t know how it sounded, but I said it the way I was feeling at the moment.
Lilian didn’t look offended, so I didn’t bother apologising to her.
“I don’t know why she turned out like that, but it’s good she’s gone.” Lilian’s words were confusing. I thought they were best friends, but those words did not make it sound like they had a good relationship.
“Are you thinking of getting a mate anytime soon?” The moment she asked the question, I heard a knock on one door, “That must be Albert.” I stood up, and when the door was opened, he walked inside the house.
“How did it go?” I asked almost immediately.
