Alpha Darrel POV

I took some days off work before going to Alpha Baron’s birthday party. I have to plan and prepare to bring in my mate because that’s what I need right now. The chiefs are already complaining about my single life, and how important it is that I bring in a mate.

“Darrel, what are you doing here?” My mom asked when she got to where I was sitting, I have been avoiding having a conversation with her, I didn’t know when she got back from her trip.

“You’re back?” I asked her, looking surprised. She stared at me and sat on the couch.

“I returned last night.” She said to me abd gulped the wine in the glass she was holding. I can’t believe mom is still living this life. The elders has been complaining about it since I was little, I grew up hearing several nonsense about her not being faithful to dad.
