“Why are the chefs and why was my dinner not warm before getting served?” He asked the maid pointing his hand towards the empty dining room because he had already finished eating. The only thing the maids mind at that moment was regret. She was regretting why decided to stay back to clean the kitchen because if she didn’t Darrel wouldn’t have met her there.

“They have retired to bed, sir” she replied. “Retired to bed? When I haven’t eaten and what gave them the audacity to do that?” He shouted at the maid. “So where is my dinner? I can’t see my food on the dining table” Darrel asked the maid.

“Sir the chef on duty had already retired to bed before you got home” Hearing that statement triggered Dan to give the maid a slap on her face. She held her cheeks as tears rolled down her cheeks.
