MIQUEL'S POV

My eyes had been darkened by fear, I kept muttering behind words, which I was not sure of. There was a mixture of fear and doubt in it. My legs staggered as I walked where he laid.

“Donovan?” My legs suddenly became heavy as I walked to the place he was laid.

“I'm sorry… Your Majesty, they mistook him for prince Emmett.” Timon muttered weakly, losing more blood the more he spoke. I knelt beside Donovan.

“How…how could this… Donovan, please wake up. Wake up now. You cannot leave like this! This is my fault, I should have taken you along with prince Emmett!” I sobbed loudly, carrying him.

“Please open your eyes.” Demetrius pats my shoulder softly.

“Can you do anything?” He collected the baby tenderly and checked his pulse.

“He has been dead for a while now, not even your blood can save him.” A royal physician hurried in and started their treatment with Timon. I got a little dizzy and almost fell, but Demetrius held me.
