“I'm sorry, Aeliana. You can hate me all you want. I know I deserve it,” he said and walked out of the garden.
Outside the garden, he felt the sharp pain again and held his chest, clasping his teeth from screaming.
“My lord, are you…” The guard was cut off.
“I'm fine,” he told the guards who wanted to come to his rescue, and they bowed. The guards had doubt written all over their faces, but nevertheless, they continued their business. Carissa and Demeterius wanted to stop him but he emphasized that it was urgent for him to go. The guards opened the gate for him immediately and he almost fell again, still feeling the chest pain.
