Chapter 43
Zillon stood silently by the rusty iron bars, eyes fixated on Xavier who sat in the very corner of his cell. He looked so pitiful, but Zillon didn’t have the time to pity him right now. “Have they been feeding you?”
Xavier looked towards the other side of his cell where all the food that have been given to him in the past days laid smelly and untouched. “I suppose they have, but I will never eat anything offered to me by my enemies…I’d rather starve.”
His voice unlike the last time Zillon had spoken to him was dry and croaky and Zillon’s heart pained him at the sound of it. “Have you at least been drinking water?”
“Is this a health check-up or a f*cking interrogation? Get to the point then leave…I don’t intend to look up in your despicable face for much longer.”
“Why are there still attacks on my pack members? You’re imprisoned, why won’t they stop?”
“I guess they won’t stop until I die…” He smiled up at Zillon, cocking his head against the dirty walls.
